These aren't polished testimonials written by a
marketing team. They're accounts from people who came to
Happyheartglow dealing with anxiety that was getting in
the way of ordinary life - and who were willing to share
what the process looked like for them, including the
parts that were slow or uncomfortable.
Three accounts, three different starting points
Each person came in with a different pattern of anxiety
- social, generalised, situational. The approach was
adjusted in each case rather than applied as a fixed
template.
Declan Rafferty
Sydney, NSW - 8 sessions over 4 months
"I'd been managing constant low-level anxiety
for about 3 years before I reached out. After 8
sessions spread across 4 months, I could finally
sit through a work presentation without my hands
shaking. It wasn't instant, but it was real. The
thing that helped most was having a consistent
person who actually remembered what I'd said the
previous week."
Tomasz Wielecki
Toowoomba, QLD - remote sessions, 6 months
"Remote sessions worked better than I expected.
I'm in regional Queensland and driving 2 hours
each way to see someone just wasn't happening.
The structured approach gave me tools I could
actually use between sessions - not just things
to think about, but specific things to do when I
felt the anxiety spike. After about 12 sessions
I felt like I understood my own patterns for the
first time."
Oisín Brennan
Melbourne, VIC - 5 sessions, ongoing check-ins
"What surprised me was how much the
between-session check-ins mattered. I'd expected
to just show up, talk for an hour, and go home.
The follow-up structure kept me accountable in a
way that felt supportive rather than pressured.
Five sessions in, I haven't resolved everything,
but I'm no longer avoiding situations I used to
dread."
How consultations are structured
What the
process looks like
in practice
Sessions at Happyheartglow follow a consistent
structure that adapts to where you are each week.
The first session is mostly about mapping -
understanding what your anxiety looks like, when it
tends to show up, and what you've already tried.
From there, the work is incremental rather than
dramatic.
Most people see a meaningful shift somewhere between
sessions 4 and 9, though that varies considerably.
The goal isn't to eliminate anxiety - it's to make
it less disruptive and more predictable so you can
respond to it rather than just react.
1Initial mapping session - 60 minutes,
focused on patterns and triggers
2Fortnightly sessions with specific
between-session tasks
3Check-in messages available between
sessions for accountability
4Review at session 6 to assess progress and
adjust the approach
